We visited Nagomi today for lunch and were very pleasantly surpised. Having looked at the menu avaiable on the internet we weren't really inspired but thought we would give the new owners the benefit of the doubt and it was well worth it . The menu in reality is a much more comprhensive list of delicious food than the one on the web. The food was fresh well cooked/prepared and delcious. We had the seaweed salad x2, soft shell crab tempura ( big portion) and the squid tempura ,really good crisp batter just the way it should be,octopus balls (hot) a first for me strange texture but very tasty, topped with what seemed like terriyaki sauce, salmon maki, sweet corn maki eel and tuna nigiri the eel was especially good. We also had the daily special an amalgam of salmon roe, salmon sashimi, and excellent sushi rice all aranged to look like a rose on the plate that was all washed down with green tea for the princely sum of £36 with plenty of food for the 3 of us. They used the colured plate system similar to that of a well known sushi purveryor of which I am a fan but I have to say the food was better here and for belt lovers they do have one. The staff were cheerfull very helpful, attentive but unobtrusive all in all well worth a vist we shall definitely be going again.
