I recently telephoned Monkseaton Clinic to enquire about hearing aid batteries. The very friendly receptionist Karen gave me the opening hours and asked if, due to the pandemic, we were ok to visit the clinic or would we like her to post the batteries out to us. As we are self-isolating, I was delighted at the thought of not having to visit the clinic. Within a few days, the batteries duly arrived, together with a lovely letter from Karen informing us that if ever we can't get to the clinic, just to give her a ring. She ended her letter, "Take care and stay safe".

I am thrilled that such thoughtfulness still exists at this awful time. What a lovely lady.
