"Initially very good service, but..."

If you do not prefer high street shops and checking baby stores in crowded areas, Babyfayre is a great option to see what is available on the market.

Service provided in the store is very good, if you are patient enough (during busy hours there could me more customers in the store and due to one to one care it takes some time) you can go through your questions and demonstrations with the staff member that would help you to decide which product is best for you.

Once you agree on the purchase, you usually have to order your pram/puschair and wait for the delivery to the store. You will be asked to provide a prepayment, however I would not recommend to give more than 20%, which is the minimum and I wasn´t told this information till I saw the back side of the invoice after I paid more, my fault).

Unfortunately, from my personal experience the level of the service decreases, if your prepayment is higher.

The more happy I had been in the store, the more frustrated I became after I left.

First of all, the official delivery date for my pram package was about 8 weeks which I accepted as it was still with some time before my due date. However this was extented to 12 weeks with no explanation or apology. It took many phonecalls when I was told the same answer - one more week, one more week, it is on the way, one more week...

Also, I ordered a package of the products and got them in 3 different deliveries I had to chase via further phonecalls. The carseat delivered was not even close to the one I originally ordered (late delivery, different seat, colour and it was dusty even), so I politely requested a replacement. I was promised replacement and told to use this one until then as I already had a baby and needed it). It has been 9 months with no result and I simply gave up.

It is a shame as initially I was very pleased and had many friends expecting too, so I could recommend this store. But the whole process took a lot of my energy when I wanted to fully concentrate on our new arrival. .
